What did you learn from this project?

I learned how many pictures I actually take on a daily basis. I have recently been struggling with mental health and these last few months have been the worst. I think I have finally found a hobby that combines both of my favorite interest in one, being outside which allows me to capture cool landscapes and areas and the second being a foodie and also liking to stay inside where it warm and still being able to take good quality photos. One thing i would like to work on is my presentation more specifically when it comes to food, some chefs take great pictures and often set the plate up a specific way to make it look nicer and more appeasing to the naked eye. This project was one of my favorites and I am glad I can share all of these cool pictures and food ideas with people who are interested.

How's it going?

It is going well, I decided to incorporate food pictures since it is my second favorite thing to photograph. I am a foodie and love taking good quality pictures of my food that I make along with posting the recipe if and when I am asked. I thought about starting a Tik Tok just to show off my cooking skills and maybe get into making cooking videos down the road. This picture was the final product from me when I made my first batch of stuffed shells. I made them with ground beef, sauce and cheese. These turned out very good and of course I had to make sure i captured a good photo before I dove right in and enjoyed it. I have noticed where my passions are and I am happy to say throughout this process I have come to realize if I am outside, I am usually taking pictures of landscapes and nature and if I'm inside I am most likely taking pictures of food I made that day.

What are the good things happening and what are the bad things happening?

Some good things happening is being able to get good pictures and being able to edit them and make them stand out more. I recently went to Crazy Horse and was able to see the lightshow and capture this picture. They also allowed us to take a bus up closer and then they let us out and give us a lesson on more information about crazy horse it is very interesting. The light show was one of the best things, they use lasers, and it has some speakers along with music to explain the history of Crazy Horse and how it came about. They have a museum right next to the monument where they have cool Native American artifacts and a store where you can buy various homemade items and memorabilia representing South Dakota and some of our Native American History the store is very huge and there is a lot to explore, I definitely recommend checking it out if you have not yet.

Hows it going?

So far it is going well. I love getting outside and just being in nature. It helps me not only release stress, but it helps me just being the moment and mindful. So far it has been going well I went out early this morning for a walk and took some landscaping photos by the water and some of a little forestry area. I also went out last night and took some of the snow we got her this weekend. I like taking photos in the snow because the snow just makes photos and sceneries look so much brighter, I love it. I like just going for a drive and then if I see something pretty or unique, I will stop and capture it the best I can and then edit it if needed. The weather has been cold so it hasn't been super easy to want to go outside but I also live in an area where I can just snap some great shots from our back deck.

How did i get started?

I decided to do photography for my blog project. I chose photography because I have always loved taking pictures and capturing memories that last a lifetime. My plan for this project is to take some landscape/object pictures. I have a very good camera that has 10x zoom and can capture very intricate things most other cameras cannot. Something I also like about taking pictures is you can sometimes catch things you didn't expect. I like taking pictures of nature and sometimes I am Suprise to see I captured an animal in the distance or something cool with nature, it's always the best feeling. I live near the Rapid City, which is where the black hills are located, we travel there often to just decompress, and I always make sure to bring my camera and take as many pictures as I can. I even take some I like so much that I end up printing and hanging in our house.
